 Why meditate with sounds?

Hearing is a sense that we cannot turn off.

To hear what is happening around us has been important for human survival.

Just as you feel your breathing in the moment, sounds are HERE and NOW. Actively listening to sounds is an easy and effective way to anchor yourself in the present.

We often do this without reflecting on it, like when we lie on the beach listening to the sea. Listening is something that most of us take for granted and it's hard to fail. It doesn't feel like we have to perform.

Listening is perceived as easy.

BiMi

The background sounds in BiMi's meditations are designed to strengthen your focus. Sometimes you are guided to specifically listen to the music.

I have tried to guide to sounds from nature, but it turned out to be easier to use this kind of music. It was described as more neutral.

Free Flow

Under Sounds you find three meditations without guidance, Energy, Relaxation and Sleep.

If you use the app BiM you are already familiar with the music and it is associated with meditating.

Choose your own theme you want to focus on, which could be Forgiveness, Compassion, or you can let your thoughts wander. Like the clouds in the sky, the flow of thoughts can just pass by.

You can also choose to focus your attention on the music.

There are different ways to use these meditations.

Decide what suits you at the moment and have your intention ready when you get started.

Noise

These noises are for concentration, relaxation and sleep. See what suits you. Read more here.
